Original description
Hansson, C. 2004. Eulophidae of Costa Rica, 2. Memoirs of the American Entomlogical Institute, 75:51.
Synonyms
None.
Diagnosis
Predominantly pale yellow, mesoscutum partly to predominantly golden-green; fore wing with dense setation. Very similar to cecropiae and montigena, but differs in the shape of phallobase, from cecropiae in having occiput predominantly dark brown, and from montigena in having scutellum predominantly dark brown with pale parts anterolaterally. The female is difficult to separate from the female of montigena. It is assumed here that the colour differences on the scutellum is reliable. However, a larger material will possibly prove this false (as with many colour differences between species). The males are separated through the appearance of the phallobase, which is very distinct.
